Use Informative Video Tips to Showcase your Company’s Strengths

Time for another inside look at our corporate web video techniques!  We made yet another video for one of our favorite clients SendGrid.  This time around, the company isn’t even selling anything, they just want to give friendly tips about how people can make sure their emails stay out of spam folders.

This type of video is really cool to make because, instead of promoting a product, SendGrid is showing their skills of anti-spam emails.  Not only is this really useful for users, but it authenticates SendGrid even more.  This is an educational video, and it seeks to inform the audience.  This, in turn, wins SendGrid more customers, so it also works as a type of content marketing.  Basically it’s a win-win because viewers stay informed and SendGrid wins more clients.

How did we go about making this type of video?

Well, first we started with our fun little marketing guy:

Marketer

Of course, we use SendGrid’s logo colors, just to get some subliminal messaging in there.  Then we note an important point that 20% of important messages go to spam folders.  That is one-fifth of all those emails that need to be delivered!  That is a big problem, so then we give the solutions, which are the top tips to make sure your emails go to user’s inbox and not the spam folder.

So what is the point of this video?  Well, it’s not to over-sell the SendGrid product, that’s for sure.  But rather, give back to the email community by telling them how they can get their messages where they need to be.  It’s great making videos like this, because we get to inform and not overly talk up a product or service.
