What’s new in video news? Well…a lot! There have been viral videos galore (ahem…Gangnam Style is still getting parodies) and new video applications launch every week. One platform that caught our attention is VidioVibe.com. Though the name is a bit tricky (I keep trying to write vidEovibe), the platform is sort of a combination of the People’s Choice Awards and YouTube. The idea is great: Videographers upload their videos, viewers vote, and the best videos win cash! So, who is this for? The platform says:
We may or may not be the “few saps”, but those puppy/baby videos get us every time. Anyway, the site originally launched as student video contest site, OnVidi, and it also serves as a social network site where anyone can vote, promote, and chat about great videos. Check out the beta version, as the site launches this Fall.
So, well done VidioVibe! The company has raised a total of $2 million in seed funding from 7 Bar 3 Investments, and we can only see bigger things coming from this site that awards videographers.
For all you sitting at home making videos, whiteboard videos, or just well-done live videos, be sure to check out this site — you may just be able make some cash from your film!
