Host a Webinar: How to Continually Promote your Video

We get a lot of questions about online videos and webinars, so we thought we’d give all the corporate video-makers some ideas on what to do with their video content after the webinar. After you sign off, your work is not over — you have great video content that can be reused for other purposes. That is, of course, if you recorded your webinar — which you should!

So, after you made your webinar video, the first thing you should do is have a link to the full webinar somewhere. There are people that will want all of the information, so they may sit for the full thirty minutes to get every detail. Make sure you post the link in an obvious place and label it accordingly, so no one has to search around.

The next thing you should do is get out your video editing skills. We are busy! Sometimes I miss a webinar, and I just want the highlights, so make a highlight reel for your viewers. This can be much shorter than your original video, simply taking the most important facts and questions.

Lastly, make a podcast so people can put this on their iPod and listen to it to and from work. Some people are audio learners, so don’t rule them out! Though we always like to push web video for business and corporate purposes, sometimes you just need the audio.

There you have it, three ways to use that great video content that you already have! So on your next webinar, don’t simply hit signoff, there is a lot more that can be done with that valuable information.
