These guys made us laugh…and then buy their product. Dollar Shave Club’s low budget video went viral by entertaining us and offering a product. This is actually an explainer video that took off due to some very creative scripting and production.

TNT does know drama, as we found out when this ad went viral. The company placed a Push to Add Drama button in a “quiet town in Belgium” recording what takes place next. It’s the comedic value and the viewer’s reactions that made this video so popular.
3. Call Me Maybe
Oh the power of Justin Bieber. This video was actually released in 2011, but thanks to Bieber-fever, this song skyrocketed in 2012. After Justin did a parody of the video with then-girlfriend Selena Gomez, it sparked thousands of other parodies, causing “Call Me Maybe” to be stuck in our heads forever.

Invisible Children’s Kony 2012 video grabbed people’s attention with its great storytelling, high quality video production and simplifying the issue so that everyone around the world could understand. This video spread quickly across all forms of social media in early 2012, stirring up a lot of conversation around the topic.

Well, according to the world, Gangnam Style is beyond one of the top videos of 2012; this videos has the most views ever. This video introduces a combination of new components for viewers, an addictive dance with a catchy tune and an entertaining video, which is why it lands at our number one spot.
