Why the Financial Industry needs Motion Graphic Videos

You’re probably here because we are talking about the New York Stock Exchange Euronext (NYSE) and just love everything financial…right? Or you’re just curious on why they needed a motion graphics video?

Well my friends, creating a video for the NYSE wasn’t easy, but we were up for the challenge. If you’re familiar with our blog, then you know that we typically highlight simplified messaging for the tech industry, but today, we are going to show you that even the financial industry needs an explainer video!

First, watch the video that we created for the NYSE Euronext and then, let’s break it down!

So, how do we do what we do?

Break Down the Message

Our goal for the video is to feature the NYSE mini options and futures derivatives for the AEX index. In order to actually simplify this topic, you may have noticed that we had to segment the content into a few general topics.

We started the video with an explanation of what options and futures are and how they affect investments. Then we created a few visual, numerical examples to show investors exactly how they work. Finally, we introduced and incorporated the mini derivatives options into the investment mix, visually showing investors how easy it is to include this option in their existing portfolios.

Branding

I bet you’re wondering, why did they choose orange slices for the video? Well, the beauty of our videos is that they not only explain and captivate your viewers’ attention but also can use your company’s branding. The slogan for the mini derivatives option is: Enjoy the Full Taste with Just a Slice.  So we just took a slice of an orange to carry that slogan through our entire video. To even take it step further, did you notice the bold green background…let’s just say that color wasn’t a coincidence….it’s branding!

Call to Action

In the end of our video, we directed users to gain more information on this topic on their main website. Our voice guy said it, spelled it out, and you can read it on the screen. For any video that you make, you must create an action for the users. In this case, we wanted the viewers to actively go to the website to learn more about why they may need mini derivatives in their portfolios.

Why Motion Graphic Video?

We offer numerous styles of videos, such as the infamous whiteboard animation, so why did the NYSE want to use motion graphics? Well, not only is it simple to create movement and fluidity of complicated concepts, but also the computer effects are engaging and in this case, colorful! We decided to use a burst of color in this rather serious video topic to encourage an upbeat and engaging appeal.

Well, I don’t know about you, but I  think it’s time to evaluate my financial portfolio! Interested in knowing more about explainer videos? Stop by our portfolio page to watch our latest creations.
