What are we doing making an explanatory video for a school?? Well, Revolution Productions has a very eclectic clientele, and we like to show that off! Our latest online video ad is for St. Andrew’s Episcopal School’s The Lion’s Fund. What am I talking about? Check out the video to find out:
In this example, you can see that web video advertising is not just for products — but also for services, and, in this case, education. This video is targeted towards the parents at St. Andrew’s, because they, of course, want the best for their children. But the best isn’t always available with only school tuition. Enter: The Lion’s Fund:
If you look in the video, we use subtle St. Andrew’s colors to remind the viewer that this video is for the school, but we don’t want to overwhelm them with school pride. Too much branding can cause you to lose your point — so give the viewer reminders, but don’t bombard them!
And our call to action – easy! We simply want people to go to the website, because we’ve already explained why The Lion’s Fund is vitally important to his or her child’s education. When you’re making your own explanatory video or working with a production company, be sure to subtlety use hints, because over-branding can cause the viewer to lose interest, and lose the point of your video.
